This strand of work ensures that the Imagine care home partners have the opportunity to get involved with community life and events beyond their care settings and feeling part of something bigger in their localities.
Different experiences will be on offer taking take the form of Nottingham Carnival, Light Night and care home events throughout the project. Residents will experience music, film, puppetry, costume and performance. These events will not only be an opportunity to collaborate with high quality professional artists, but also showcase work made by residents in community and public settings. This in turn increases audience development and raises awareness and understanding of the care sector and residents living in care more widely.
Highlights to date have included designing a large-scale bird puppet with artist in residence Tony Mason, silk paintings and lanterns with Jess Kemp and Chimes, Sitar and Kora performances by Emma Williams, Lance Hume and Jude Winwood.
