Nottingham Playhouse Trust is a regional not-for-profit repertory theatre and a registered charity. We produce bold and thrilling theatre which is world-class, made in Nottingham and as diverse as the community we serve. We pride ourselves on offering life-changing opportunities to take part, learn and develop new skills for people of all ages and from all backgrounds. We work extensively with the local community both here at the Playhouse and external sessions and workshops. We work with a range of people of all ages, economic backgrounds, including those with disabilities, those who have struggled with substance abuse and those who have endured homelessness or mental illness. We strive to engage all areas of the community and establish relationships with a number of partners, which benefit our wider community and expand opportunities for everyone to become involved in the arts.
Finally how we are involved with the Imagine project:
Nottingham Playhouse staff have found working within the care home environment an invaluable experience. We have devised and run a number of workshops and interactive performances that took place at the Oaks Care Home. Leading up to Christmas 2014, we showcased a number of short pantomimes, including sing along sections, percussion playing opportunities and even teaching small dance routines. It is great to work with this group as together we have been able to create a unique creative experience.
