Mixed Reality Lab

The Mixed Reality Lab in the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham is an interdisciplinary studio facility where computer scientists, psychologists, sociologists, engineers, architects and artists collaborate to explore the potential of ubiquitous, mobile and mixed reality technologies to shape everyday life. The MRL adopts an interdisciplinary and ‘end-to-end’ approach to research, ranging from explorations of new devices and sensors through to studies of deployed experiences, often within the lifetime of a single project. Working with Imagine provides a very timely opportunity for us to explore new technologies and concepts in the context of elderly care, with the hope that we contribute to that care in the medium to long term.
